Josh Piterman is a well-known Australian musical theatre and classical crossover artist. An award-winning performer, Josh’s career started with The Ten Tenors, after which he established his presence in the industry by playing Tony in West Side Story’s 2010 tour.
Training:
Josh went to Federation University and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre).
Theatre:
He has mostly performed on stage in his native Australia. Among his credits is Gerry Goffin in the Australian Tour of Beautiful – The Carole King Musical; Edward in Blood Brothers; Jamie in The Last Five Years; Tony in West Side Story; Giuseppe in The Light in the Piazza; In the UK, he played Corny Collins in the UK Tour of Hairspray and The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre, London.
Awards:
His portrayal of Bustopher Jones/Growltiger/Gus in the Australian season of Cats (2016) won him the Green Room Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical.
Music:
Josh launched his self-titled album through Fanfare Records in 2018 and hit #1 on both the Aria and iTunes Charts. It includes 12 melodious tracks.
