Jonathan Charles Slinger is a professional English actor born on August 15th 1972 in Accrington, Lancashire. After his graduation, Jonathan worked at the Royal National Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe. His long-term work with the Royal Shakespeare Company included Complete Works and This England: The Histories. In 2010, he played the Prime Minister’s Principal Private Secretary Bernard Woolley in the staging of Yes, Prime Minister at the Chichester/London. The next year, he appeared in the title role of Macbeth in Michael Boyd’s new play. In 2012, he played Prospero and Malvolio in Stratford and London for the RSC, and a year later he played Hamlet. Jonathan began to portray Willy Wonka in Charlie And The Chocolate Factory: The Musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, London from May 2015.
