Jason Kajdi is a professional British actor who has been in the theatre scene for some time. He is currently playing the first cover Bert/ensemble in Mary Poppins at the Prince of Edward Theatre. Jason is a skilled high baritone and falsetto singer along with contemporary and jazz dancing.
Training:
He attended the Bird College of Dance, graduating in 2015. He also went to the National Youth Theatre, The Actors Class and The Place – Centre for Advanced Training.
Theatre:
Jason has been a part of numerous musicals, playing Action/understudy Riff in Matthew White’s West Side Story at the Kilworth House Theatre (2016); Mickey/understudied and played Jason in Arelene Phillips & Sam Cassidy’s The Rise Of A Falling Star (2016); Derek in Lin Manuel Miranda’s 21 Chump Street (2016); ensemble/first cover as well as played Bert in James Powell/Nick Evans’ Mary Poppins in the international tour (Disney & Cameron Mackintosh, 2017); Joe Casey in Fabian Aloise’s Our House in the UK tour (Immerson Theatre & DT Productions, 2017); Lee Harvey Oswald/The Balladeer in Louise Bakker’s Assassins (The Pleasance, 2018) and ensemble/Hugo Le Meunier in Jonathan O’Boyle’s Aspects Of Love at the Hope Mill Theatre and Southwark Playhouse (2019).
His other stage credits include playing Zachary in Louise Brearly/Paul Hart’s Pope Joan at the National Youth Theatre (2013); Mark in Joe Allan’s Athens (Theatre503’s Rapid Write Response, 2015); Marc in Joe Allan’s Gifted (Theatre503’s Rapid Write Response, 2016) and John in Jonathan O’Boyle’s Peter Pan at the Park Theatre (2018).
