Hollie Cassar is a Maltese performer who shifted to the UK in 2007 following her victory in the Television Musical Theatre Competition L-Isfida. She is an ensemble in the ongoing production of On Your Feet.
Awards:
Cassar won the Trinity College Silver Medal for Piano (2004 & 2006), The Principal’s Musical Theatre Scholarship (BodyWork, 2007), and the HL Hammond Prize for Verse Speaking (RAM, 2011).
Training:
She attended BodyWork Company Dance Studios for her 3-year Musical Theatre degree, going on to winning the award for Outstanding Musical Theatre Artist and passing out in 2010. Funded by the Janatha Stubbs Foundation and Malta Arts Scholarship, Cassar also went to the Royal Academy of Music for her Post Graduate Musical Theatre degree and graduating in 2011.

Her extensive work in theatre includes playing various roles in the Bridlington Spa Summer Repertory Season; Kay in Whose Life Is It Anyway? at the Manoel Theatre, Malta; created the role of Elissa in Steps – A New Musical at the Waterloo East Theatre, London; principal vocalist in Smokey Joe’s Café at Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage; Carmen Diaz in Fame – The Musical; Fairy Aubergine in Jack And The Beanstalk at Leeds City Varieties; Rat Scrofula/Fairy Bowbells in Dick Whittington; Miss Hot Stuff in Hot Stuff at Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch; Nina/Fitz/Mrs Hoo in The Ballad of Rude at the Manchester Royal Exchange.
She was also in Crazy For You at the London Palladium; The Sessions: The Beatles At Abbey Road at the Royal Albert Hall & UK Arena Tour; Tess in Crazy For You at the Watermill Theatre; dance captain/Spite in Beauty And The Beast at Watford Palace Theatre; Irene Roth and Tess in Crazy For You in the UK tour; musical director/Spatula/Fortuna in Jack And The Beanstalk at Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch.
