Hiba Elchikhe was born and raised in London. Since a child, she had immense love for music and performing arts. Today, she is a professional actress who is perhaps most renowned for The Sound of Music Live (2015) and National Theatre Live: Antony & Cleopatra (2018). After her drama school, she made her professional stage debut in the Asia Tour of Ghost the Musical.
She became part of Disney’s Aladdin, playing the role of Princess Jasmine in its Australian production. Hiba originated the role of Selma in Broken Wings on its World Premiere, and is making her West End debut in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.
Training:
Hiba went to The Brit School of Performing Arts and Technology to study full-time musical theatre at the age of 16. Hiba continued her training at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, graduating with a three-year BA degree in Musical Theatre.
Theatre:
She has performed in various theatres across the country. While in training, she donned the role of Mimi Marquez in Matt Elliot’s Rent (The Brit School); Mallory Kingsley/Avril Raines in Marina Caldarone’s City of Angels, Old Ann in James Powell’s Half a Sixpence, Seargent/Showgirl in Stephen Jameson’s The Producers, Audrey/ensemble in Elliot Davis/James Bourne’s Out There, and ensemble in Michael Fentiman’s Yusupov, all of which were in Mountview.
Her credits get better with the inclusion of her role as Soothsayer in Simon Godwin’s Antony and Cleopatra at the National Theatre; Brooklyn in Adam Haigh’s Brooklyn at the Greenwich Theatre; Woman 2 in Alex James Ellison & Tom Lees’ Fiver at Southwark Playhouse, Princess Jasmine in Aladdin and Mrs Santiago in Ghost the Musical in the Asia Tour.

On television, she has worked in Sound of Music Live. In radio, she was a featured soloist in Anthony Cherry/Mike Dixon’s Movies Were Movies.
