Corinne Cowling is an Australian/American singer who is currently appearing as an Ensemble in The Phantom Of The Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre. She is an understudy to Christine Daaé’s role in Lloyd Webber’s original production. Previously, she appeared in The Mikado at the King’s Head Theatre.
Awards:
Corinne has won several awards. They include the GSMD Award at the 2014 IFAC Australian Singing Competition, first place in the Franz Schubert Institut Competition, and third place in the AESS Dame Patricia Routledge National English Song Competition.
Training:
Corinne trained at the Guildhall Scholl of Music and Drama, graduating with an MMus, MPerf (Vocal Studies) with Distinction. She also attended the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and has a BMus, GradDip Opera Studies.
Other Credits:
She has performed as a soprano soloist across major concert halls throughout Istanbul and the UK for Raymond Gubbay’s Johann Strauss Gala National UK Tour (2017, 2018). Her credits also include LSO’s Guildhall Artist Platform Series at Barbican Hall and Side by Side at Wigmore Hall along with The Prince Consort and GSMD artists; LSO St Luke’s Lunchtime Concert Series; the University of Plymouth Choral Society and Sinfonia Christmas Concert; Cosette in Pimlico Opera’s Prison Project of Les Miserables; Barbarina (cover Susanna) in Clonter Opera’s Le Nozze di Figaro.
